- CRM - Customer Relationship management
- IMHO - In My Humble Opinion.
CMS : People nedd/want to make portals to pass an manage information to and from users and associates. Our government is, at this moment, investig in this (I´m right know developing a project at STF, our major court, on a CMS...) and there´s HUGE amounts of money involved. Developing a good plugin, module or expertise on selling/implementing some established open source suit looks like a good bet.
ERP (and CRM) : there´s plenty of demand on this fields here on Brazil, mainly in micro an mini business. I friend got success on selling a business using Compiére, a open source ERP.
Yes, there' s paperwork, but the paperwork is handled by some business and the work is handled to us. It' s hard to understand, but in the actual status quo of the LACK of maturity in software here, this plays by our side on this context.
I see this as follows:
- 1) Set up a portal, with a ERP, CRM or whathever service. Start little, 5 or 6 machines to handle the system
- 2) Start selling to small business (cheap) a monthly fee.
- 3) Make a brand of the quality of your service.
- 4) As soon as you get critical mass, SAP, for example, my buy us. Or associate. Or whathever. just a idea. SAP an Microsiga are trying to do this to get in the mini and small business market. As we talk.
A simple portal, with cheap hardware, amd free software, should be a good start point.
